Canadafootballchat.com (CFC) and TSN will bring the top high school football talent in Canada to the national stage for the 2026 CFC Prospect Game.

The sixth edition will be the first-ever night game, featuring 73 of the top Canadian high school football prospects, at Hamilton Stadium on May 23 at 8:00 pm EST.

“Our first game in Hamilton (2025) was the best one yet; the competition, atmosphere and broadcast were outstanding,” said Lee Barette, founder of CFC’s prospect game.

“Hamilton was a great host in 2025, and we are thankful for their commitment to helping foster a long-term, successful event and partnership.”

The selection process included a cross-country tour visiting nine cities, featuring a professional combine setting including 40-yard dash, shuttle, vertical and broad jump events.

CFL on TSN analyst Duane Forde added that these rosters represent a glimpse into the future for the most passionate Canadian football fans.

“The CFC Prospects Game is a unique opportunity for top high school players from across Canada to meet and compete against the cream of the crop from other provinces,” said Forde.

“With instruction provided by some of Canada’s finest university coaches, this event has proven to be a springboard to success at the post-secondary and even pro level. The game represents a rare sneak preview of the next Akheem Mesidor, Nathan Rourke, Chase Brown, or Brady Oliveira before they become household names.”

The 2025 CFL Draft was a milestone event, with defensive linemen Ty Anderson (Hamilton Tiger-Cats) and Max von Muehldorfer (Calgary Stampeders), receiver Kolby Hurford (Edmonton Elks), and offensive linemen Ethan Pyle (Toronto Argonauts) making history as the first CFC Prospect Game alumni to be selected.

Heading into the 2026 CFL Draft, five alumni were featured in the CFL Scouting Bureau’s top 20 final rankings, including offensive linemen Albert Reese IV (Mississippi State) and Giordano Vaccaro (Purdue), defensive back Malcolm Bell (Michigan State), defensive linemen Aamarii Notice (Coastal Carolina), and wide receiver Nolan Ulm (Eastern Washington).

“While excited for this year’s game, we are equally excited for the alumni who will be called during the CFL Canadian Draft show. Our alumni’s continued engagement has been awesome, with many coaching at our nation-wide selection camps,” said Barette.
