The Toronto Argonauts will be without Chad Kelly for their game against the BC Lions on Saturday, as the pivot is dealing with a hand injury.
Nick Arbuckle is slated to make the start in Kelly’s place on Saturday.
As TSN’s Dave Naylor reports, Kelly was attempting to work through the injury in practice throughout the week, and was expected to be ready to go, but ultimately the team decided to hold him out of the game.
The Argonauts (9-6) will host the Lions at BMO Field, looking to stretch their four-game winning streak - the longest active streak of any team in the league entering Week 18 - to five games with a victory.
The Argonauts are also looking to move to 5-0 at home on the season.
Kelly, 32, has a league-best 5,067 yards passing through 15 games on the season - already a career high - with 33 touchdowns and 24 interceptions. He’s thrown for multiple touchdowns in six consecutive contests, and has exceeded 400 yards passing in four separate games this year.
