Despite missing practice on Wednesday, head coach Mike Miller is not concerned about Chad Kelly’s availability for Monday’s Labour Day Classic against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, according to TSN’s Matthew Scianitti.
Kelly suffered a broken toe during the third quarter of a 28-24 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders last week, but is likely to return to practice on Friday.
The 32-year-old native of Buffalo had a solid game against the Riders, throwing for 416 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.
On the season, Kelly has recorded 3,642 yards with 24 touchdowns and 17 interceptions over 11 games.
Backup pivot Nick Arbuckle also missed practice due to an illness while Tucker Horn took first-team reps.
Kicker Lirim Hajrullahu returned to practice on Wednesday after being sidelined since July 18 with a hamstring injury.
The 36-year-old connected on a couple 50-yard field goals during practice.
Toronto sits second in the East Division with a 5-6 record.
