Montreal Alouettes linebacker Micah Awe is set to have a hearing for his hit on Calgary Stampeders quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. in Week 6, according to TSN’s Dave Naylor.
The hit occurred late in the fourth quarter of the team’s matchup on Saturday. While Adams was sliding for a first down, Awe made contact with Adams’ head/neck area.
After leading the league in total tackles last season with the BC Lions (117), Awe moved over to the Alouettes for 2026. In five games, the 32-year-old has 10 defensive tackles and one special teams tackle.
In nine seasons in the CFL, the linebacker has racked up 578 defensive tackles, six sacks, five interceptions, and seven forced fumbles.
According to 680 CJOB’s Derek Taylor, Awe has the most appearances on the fine/suspension list (10) than any other player since 2017.
