Calgary Stampeders quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. exited Thursday’s loss to the BC Lions in the fourth quarter with an apparent injury.
Adams hit his head against the turf after being tackled on a six-yard rush and was escorted off the field by Calgary’s training staff.
He would be taken to the medical tent after getting back to the sideline, and would not return to the game.
Adams completed 13-of-23 passing attempts for 148 yards and a touchdown before departing.
Backup quarterback Josh Love would enter into the game, completing six passes for 58 yards and an interception.
Calgary fell to 5-5 on the year with the loss on Thursday, and are on bye next week before taking on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in Week 13.
