The winless Ottawa Redblacks have dismissed vice president of football operations Shawn Burke, according to TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor.
The team later confirmed the news in an announcement later Sunday afternoon, saying an update on football operations leadership structure would be provided shortly.
The Redblacks are 0-10 so far this season after a 30-point loss to the Montreal Alouettes Thursday evening.
The Redblacks are the ninth team in league history to lose their first 10 games of a season. This comes under new head coach and general manager Ryan Dinwiddie, who departed the Toronto Argonauts for Ottawa late last year.
The Redblacks have lost 16 straight games dating back to Sept. 5, 2025 — the longest skid since the Hamilton Wildcats also lost 16 straight in 1948-49.
Burke joined the Redblacks as general manager in November of 2021 and assumed the vice president role when Dinwiddie arrived as head coach and GM in November.
Prior to his time in Ottawa, Burke spent 15 seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The Redblacks will look for their first win of the season in Week 13 when they take on the BC Lions in Ottawa.
