Islanders come back to edge Tigres in QMJHL action

CHARLOTTETOWN — Rowan Walsh scored the winner at 7:07 of the third period as the Charlottetown Islanders edged the Victoriaville Tigres 5-4 in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League action on Thursday.

Antoine Provencher, Nolan Duskocy, CJ Watroba and Anthony Flanagan also scored for Charlottetown (9-1-1-1). Donald Hickey made 18 saves.

Enzo Lottin, with two goals, Brady Flynn and Alexey Vlasov responded for Victoriaville (4-5-0). Gabriel D’Aigle stopped 43 shots.

Walsh’s goal capped a run of three straight goals by the Islanders to take a 5-3 lead.

Lottin scored his second of the game with 4:48 left in the contest to make it a one-goal game.
