The final week of the PGA Tour’s regular season is here as the Wyndham Championship tees off from Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, NC.
Three Canadians - Sudarshan Yellamaraju, Corey Conners, and Nick Taylor - have already booked their spots at next week’s playoff opener, the FedEx St. Jude Championship, but five others enter play at the Wyndham with a chance to get inside the top 75 on the season-long points list for a postseason berth.
Taylor Pendrith, A.J. Ewart, Mackenzie Hughes, Ben Silverman, and Adam Hadwin are all on the outside looking of the playoff picture, and it’s now or never at the regular-season finale.
Pendrith, currently 85th on the points list, has the luxury of having his playing privileges for next year already locked up as he enters the week firmly inside the top 100, but the same cannot be said for Ewart (100), Hughes (120), Silverman (136), or Svensson (188).
Here is a player-by-player tracker for the opening round at the Wyndham outlining what each Canadian needs to do this week to earn a playoff berth:
