The Toronto Blue Jays signed pitcher Matt Bowman to a minor league deal, according to a report by Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

Bowman was released by the Minnesota Twins earlier this month after exercising an opt-out clause in his deal with the team.

The 34-year-old posted a 1.69 ERA in 21.1 innings this season with the St. Paul Saints, the Twins’ Triple-A affiliate.

Bowman last appeared in the majors in 2025 with the Baltimore Orioles. He pitched to an 0-1 record with a 6.20 ERA in 24.2 innings over 20 games.

The Chevy Chase, Maryland native has also played for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees, Arizona Diamondbacks, Seattle Mariners and had a previous stint with the Twins.

He has made 231 MLB appearances.
