Raptors waive forward Jemison; roster now at 20

Published:

The Toronto Raptors have waived forward Trey Jemison III, it was announced Wednesday afternoon.

Jemison originally signed a two-way contract with the Raptors in August after spending last season with the NBA champion New York Knicks. He averaged 1.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in 13 regular-season games.

The 6-foot-10 Jemison appeared in one preseason game with the Raps, playing eight minutes in Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers. He had six rebounds and one assists with zero points in the Raps’ 114-106 win.

He’s appeared in NBA games with the Washington Wizards, Memphis Grizzles, Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans in addition to the Knicks and Raptors.

The Raptors’ roster now stands at 20 with one two-way player.

Toronto will begin their 2026-27 regular season next Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls.
