The Denver Nuggets and Canadian guard Ryan Nembhard have reached a two-way deal, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The 23-year-old from Aurora, Ont., was waived by the Charlotte Hornets last week.
It’s been an eventful off-season for Nembhard, who was traded twice prior to being waived.
He went from the Dallas Mavericks to the Atlanta Hawks as part of a three-team trade also involving the Oklahoma City Thunder and fellow Canadian Lu Dort in July. Nembhard was then dealt again last week, this time from the Hawks to the Hornets in a swap involving Buddy Hield. He was then waived by the Hornets shortly after the deal.
Nembhard played in 60 games for the Dallas Mavericks last season as a rookie, averaging 6.6 points, 5.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds.
Nembhard played four seasons in college, spending the first two with the Creighton Bluejays and the final two with the Gonzaga Bulldogs, the same school his brother, Andrew, attended for the final two years of his college career.
