Tabbed as a Super Bowl favourite heading into the season, the 1-2 Los Angeles Rams are looking for a spark heading into their Week 4 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles and they may just find it in talented running back Kyren Williams.

Williams toted the ball 11 times for 41 yards in the Rams opener against the San Francisco 49ers, 12 times for 85 yards in their victory over the New York Giants and 15 times for 88 yards last week on the road against the Denver Broncos.

The 26-year-old also caught six passes for 70 yards in the Week 3 contest, going over 100 scrimmage yards for the first time in 2026.

Williams has two scores during the current campaign, a rushing touchdown in Australia against the 49ers and a receiving major at home against the Giants.

Since becoming a starter in 2023, Williams has posted double digit touchdown totals in three consecutive seasons, meaning it should only be a matter of time before he starts crossing the goal line regularly for the Rams.

Including the 10-yard TD reception he caught from Matthew Stafford in Week 2, Williams has nine career receiving scores, so he is a dynamic threat out of the backfield.

The St. Louis native had one of his best games of last season in a Week 3 loss against the Eagles, carrying the ball 20 times for 94 yards and catching two passes for 18 yards and a touchdown.

He also got the Eagles for 106 yards on 19 carries in a divisional round playoff game in 2025, following the 2024 regular season.

What a start to the season it has been for new Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III, who enters Week 4 as the NFL’s leading rusher.

Walker came out of the gate with a statement performance in his first game in the Chiefs’ backfield, rushing for 173 yards on 23 carries and a touchdown, while also catching three passes for 18 yards and a touchdown.

He then followed that up with a 24-carry, 117-yard performance against the Indianapolis Colts that included six catches for 61 yards through the air.

Last week he was into the end zone twice again against the Miami Dolphins with 70 yards on 18 rushing attempts and a score on the ground and two catches for three yards and a TD in the passing game.

For his efforts, Walker was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September.

The Memphis native joined the Chiefs on a three-year deal as a free agent in March after four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.

Last year, Walker earned MVP honours as he helped lead the Seahawks to a Super Bowl LX victory over the New England Patriots.

He posted 135 yards on 27 carries and caught two passes for 26 yards in the 29-13 championship game triumph.

Walker became just the fourth Super Bowl MVP to sign with a new team the following season, joining Dexter Jackson of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Desmond Howard of the Green Bay Packers and Larry Brown of the Dallas Cowboys.
