The Miami Dolphins will be without their biggest offensive threat for the remainder of the season.

ESPN’s Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter report De’Von Achane tore his ACL in the team’s 24-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and will miss the remainder of the season.

Achane, 24, left the game early in the first quarter with a non-contact injury. Planting his left leg to make a cut right, his leg appeared to give out. He walked off the field accompanying by the training staff and did not return.

“To be very honest with you, it does not sound very optimistic at this moment, but I can’t give you any other details until I have them,” Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley said after the game.

A native of Missouri City, TX, Achane was in his fourth season out of Texas A&M. He had rushed for 127 yards on 34 carries this season prior to the injury. Achane enjoyed a breakout 2025 campaign and was named to his first Pro Bowl following a 1,350-yard rushing season.

The Dolphins (0-3) were already thin at running back with Jaylen Wright missing Sunday’s game with a foot injury and a stinger in his shoulder. Sixth-round pick in 2025, Ollie Gordon II, is the other back currently rostered by the team.

The Dolphins return to action on Sunday with a visit to the Minnesota Vikings (3-0).
