The Minnesota Vikings are signing Odell Beckham Jr. to their practice squad, ESPN’s Ian Rapoport reports.

Beckham, 33, was released by the New York Giants late last month.

While Beckham appeared in the first three games of the season for the Giants, he did not record a reception and was only targeted once. The veteran wide receiver was in his second stint with the team, having previously spent the first five seasons of his career in the Meadowlands.

A product of LSU, Beckham’s later years in the league have been riddled with injury. He’s appeared in a combined 47 games since 2020. Beckham last scored a touchdown in 2024.

For his career, the three-time Pro Bowler has recorded 575 receptions for 7.987 yards and 59 TDS in 122 games over 11 seasons with the Giants, Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns. Beckham was part of the Rams’ Super Bowl LVI-winning team in 2022. Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell was the offensive coordinator of that team.

The move to add Beckham comes with the status of All-Pro receiver Justin Jefferson still up in the air. Jefferson did not dress in the team’s win over the Miami Dolphins last weekend. Jefferson exited the Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with an ankle ailment.

The Vikings (4-0) return to action on Sunday with a visit to the New Orleans Saints (1-3).
