Sources: Packers not anticipating Parsons’ return for game vs. Cowboys

The Packers are not anticipating that star pass rusher Micah Parsons will return to practice this week as Green Bay prepares for Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

There still is uncertainty about exactly when Parsons will return from his knee injury, but the hope still remains it will be sometime this month, the sources told Schefter.

Parsons, who is on the physically unable to perform list as he recovers from last season's torn ACL/meniscus injury, had said in August that he thought it was "realistic" that he would be able to return for the Week 6 matchup against his former team.

The Packers acquired Parsons from the Cowboys in a blockbuster trade last year. They went 9-3-1 in 2025 with Parsons in the lineup as he recorded 12.5 sacks and led the NFL with 64 quarterback pressures, according to ESPN Analytics. However, they didn't win another game last season after his injury.

The Packers are 3-2 this season.
