St. Louis Blues forward forward Jake Neighbours will be re-evaluated in five weeks with a right-leg injury, the team announced Tuesday.

The update comes after Neighbours jumped out to a blistering start this season with six goals and one assist in eight games. He missed Monday’s loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins with the injury.

The 23-year-old winger posted 22 goals and 46 points in 82 games last season and 27 goals and 38 points in 77 games in 2023-24.

Selected 26th overall in the 2020 draft, Neighbours is signed through the 2026-27 season at a cap hit of $3.75 million.

The Blues, who are off to a 3-5-1 start to the season, will host the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday.
