Blues sign D Mailloux to a one-year contract extension

The St. Louis Blues have signed defenceman Logan Mailloux to a one-year, $850,000 contract extension, the team announced on Tuesday.

Mailloux has appeared in 31 games this season for the Blues and has a goal and an assist, with 31 penalty minutes.

The 22-year-old is in his first season with the Blues after he was acquired in a July 1 trade with the Montreal Canadiens.

The Belle River, Ont. native was selected 31st overall in the first round of the 2021 NHL Draft.

He has appeared in 39 games split between the Canadiens and the Blues and has seven points in his NHL career.
