Bruins acquire Ivan from Avs for Lysell

The Boston Bruins acquired forward Ivan Ivan from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for forward Fabian Lysell on Saturday.

Ivan, 23, played nine games with the Avs last season, recording a single assist. He had 11 goals and 15 assists over 66 games with the AHL’s Colorado Eagles, adding three goals and 12 assists over 17 postseason contests.

The native of Czechia had five goals and three assists over 40 games with the Avalanche during his rookie season of 2024-25.

Lysell, 23, did not play in the NHL last season, but tallied 17 goals and 25 assists over 57 games with the Providence Bruins of the Boston Bruins.

Selected 21st overall by the Bruins in the 2021 NHL Draft, Lysell scored one goal and two assists during his rookie season in 2024-25.
