The Boston Bruns announced the signing of forward Alex Steeves to a two-year, $3.25 million contract.

The deal carries an AAV of $1.625 million.

The 26-year-old centre has eight goals and 14 points in 33 games this season, his first with the Bruins.

Steeves was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2021 and has recorded nine goals and 17 points in 47 NHL games with the Leafs and Bruins over parts of five NHL seasons.

He signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with Boston this past offseason and was set to become an unrestricted free agent.
