Canadiens sign D Konyushkov to two-year, entry-level contract

The Montreal Canadiens have signed prospect defenceman Bogdan Konyushkov to a two-year, entry-level contract.

He will be loaned back to the KHL’s Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod for the 2026-27 campaign.

Konyushkov, 23, scored seven goals with 38 points in 67 games with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod last season. He added five assists in 10 playoff games.

He was drafted in the fourth round (110th overall) by Montreal in 2023.

Playing in Russia, he has captured MHL (2023) and VHL (2025) titles and skated in the KHL All-Star Game in 2024 and 2025.
