The Montreal Canadiens have signed goaltender Jakub Dobes to a three-year contract extension (2027-28 to 2029-30) with an AAV of $5,357,575.
Dobes appeared in 43 games last season for Montreal, going 29-10-4 with a .901 save percentage and 2.78 goals-against average. He led all rookie goaltenders in wins and finished fourth in Calder Trophy voting and was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team.
In the playoffs, the 25-year-old backstopped the Canadiens to the Eastern Conference Final, appearing in all 19 games while recording nine wins with a .908 save percentage and 2.66 GAA.
Dobes is heading into the second season of a two-year, $1.93 million contract with an AAV of $965,000.
Drafted in the fifth round (136th overall) by Montreal in 2020, Dobes made his NHL debut on Dec. 28 against the Florida Panthers, where he recorded a 34-save shutout.
