The Washington Capitals have signed forward Ethen Frank to a two-year, $4 million contract extension, the team announced Wednesday.
The deal carries a cap hit of $2 million annually.

Frank, 28, has made 52 appearances for Washington this season, recording 11 goals and 12 assists with 14 penalty minutes and a plus-seven rating across 12:44 of ice time per game.
The sophomore skater originally signed a two-way deal with the Capitals ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, and has recorded 15 goals and 15 assists for 30 points in 76 career games.
Frank has also played in 164 contests at the AHL level across parts of five seasons with the Hershey Bears, scoring 82 goals and 127 points, while helping the team to a pair of Calder Cup titles in both 2023 and 2024.
A native of Aurora, Colo., Frank played collegiately for the Western Michigan Broncos of the NCHC, scoring 66 goals and 113 points in 155 career games at the school before signing with Hershey as undrafted free agent in 2022.
