Forward William Eklund is going through further testing on in his injured left ankle, according to Postmedia's Bruce Garrioch.
Eklund, 23, sustained the injury during Thursday's 2-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers after just 1:24 of ice time.
Garrioch speculates that Eklund will remain out of the lineup for the foreseeable future.
The 5-foot-10 winger was acquired by the Senators from the Sharks in the off-season, along with prospects Brandon Svoboda and Kasper Halltunen in exchange for the ninth overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
