Viggo Björck is in the Winnipeg Jets’ fold.
The team announced the signing of the eighth overall pick at last month’s NHL Draft to a three-year, entry-level deal. The contract will pay Björck an average annual value of $1.075 million.
An 18-year-old forward from Stockholm, Björck was taken out of the Swedish Hockey League’s Djurgardens. He split last season between the club’s junior and senior teams. At the senior level, Björck had six goals and nine assists in 42 contests.
Internationally, Björck represented Sweden at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships where Tre Kronor claimed the gold medal. Björck had three goals and six assists in seven games at the tournament in Minnesota.
