New York Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck is week-to-week with an upper-body injury, the team announced Saturday.

The 32-year-old left Thursday’s game against the Buffalo Sabres and did not return. It was unclear how he suffered the injury, but he was absent from New York’s bench during the second period. He also did not take part in Saturday’s morning skate.

Trocheck has one assist in the two games he’s played this season. He tallied 26 goals and 33 assists for 59 points in 82 games last season to mark the third straight year he’s played in every game.

The Rangers will play the Penguins in Pittsburgh Saturday night before returning home to take on the Washington Capitals Sunday night.
