The Chicago Blackhawks have signed forward Oliver Moore to a five-year contract extension worth $21.25 million, the team announced on Thursday.
The deal carries an average annual value of $4.25 million.
Moore was entering the final year of a three-year entry-level contract. He was slated to be a restricted free agent next summer.
The 21-year-old native of Mounds View, Minn. made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks against the Utah Mammoth on March 30, 2024. He played in nine games in his first season before earning more of a full-time role with Chicago last year.
In 51 games a season ago, Moore scored four goals and finished with 19 points - both career highs. He scored the first goal of his NHL career in a 5-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Nov. 9, 2025.
Moore was selected with the 19th-overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
The extension for Moore continues a busy off-season for the Blackhawks, who earlier in the summer signed superstar forward Connor Bedard to a five-year contract extension worth $75 million.
Major off-season additions to the roster include a trade for defenceman Bowen Byram from the Buffalo Sabres and a two-year deal to bring back franchise icon Patrick Kane.
Chicago opens their regular season on the road against the Vegas Golden Knights on Sept. 29, looking to improve upon a 29-39-14 record a season ago that left the team worst in the Central Division.
