The Columbus Blue Jackets and restricted free agent forward Cole Sillinger have avoided arbitration with a three-year, $13.875 million agreement, according to The Athletic’s Aaron Portzline.
The deal carries an average annual value of $4.625 million.
This is the second time this week the Jackets have avoided arbitration with one of their RFAs, inking goaltender Jet Greaves to a three-year, $15 million deal on Thursday.
The 23-year-old Sillinger had eight goals and 25 assists for 33 points in 81 games last season for the Blue Jackets. It was his second straight 33-point regular season after tallying 11 goals and 22 helpers the year before.
He was coming off a two-year, $4.5 million deal and became a restricted free agent at the end of last season.
The No. 12 pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, Sillinger has played five seasons with the Blue Jackets and has 51 goals and 89 assists for 140 points over the course of his NHL career.
