The Buffalo Sabres will be missing a key piece in a critical Game 3 against the Boston Bruins on Thursday, as the team announced Josh Norris will not be available and is considered day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.
Norris, 26, registered 16:39 of ice time in Game 2, where he finished two hits and one shot on goal in the loss.
The seventh-year player skated in just 44 games in the regular after missing significant time with a rib injury. He finished with 13 goals and 34 points in a productive first full season with the Sabres.
Coach Lindy Ruff said Josh Norris is "not available for tonight" and is considered day-to-day.

Injuries have plagued the talented centre throughout his career, dating back to his days with the Ottawa Senators - Norris has exceeded 60 games just once in his seven seasons, and his career high was 66 games played in the 2021-22 campaign.
Game 3 of this opening-round series goes Thursday night in Boston, with the teams entering play tied 1-1 in the series.
The Sabres took Game 1 on home ice behind a shocking 4-3 victory in which they scored four unanswered goals in the third period to win it. The Bruins bounced back with a 4-2 victory on Tuesday in Game 2 to even things up.
