The Buffalo Sabres have traded prospect Stiven Sardarian to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for future considerations, the team announced on Monday.
Sardarian, 23, was drafted 88th overall by the Sabres in the 2021 draft and was assigned to the American Hockey League’s Chicago Wolves after the trade.
The 6-foot-2 winger played last season with Michigan Tech in the NCAA, recording 12 goals and 44 points in 37 games last season.
He played four seasons in the NCAA, recording 32 goals and 100 points in 133 career games split between the University of New Hampshire and Michigan Tech.
The St. Petersburg, Russia, native also appeared in 46 games with the USHL’s Youngstown Phantoms during the 2021-22 campaign, registering eight goals and 25 points.
