The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Xavier Bourgault to a one-year, two-way contract, it was announced Thursday evening.
The signing comes after Bourgault filed for arbitration earlier this month.
The 23-year-old made his NHL debut with the Senators this past season, skating in two games. He played in 70 games for the AHL’s Belleville Senators in 2025-26 where he tallied 25 goals and 32 assists for 57 points.
Bourgault was a first-round pick (No. 22 overall) of the Edmonton Oilers in the 2021 NHL Draft. He was acquired in July of 2024 by the Sens along with forward Jake Chiasson in exchange for forward Roby Jarventie and 2025 fourth-round pick pick.
