The Dallas Stars placed forward Matt Duchene on the long-term injured reserve (retroactive to Sept. 22) and recalled forwards Colin Blackwell and Arttu Hyry from AHL Texas.

Duchene remains signed through the 2028-29 season at a cap hit of $4.5 million.

Blackwell, 33, had four goals with 15 points in 70 games last season. He was placed on waivers prior to the start of the season.

Hyry scored nine goals with 19 points in 27 games with the AHL’s Texas Stars last season. He also appeared in 20 games with Dallas, scoring three goals with two assists.

The Stars open their regular season on Friday night against the St. Louis Blues.
