Winnipeg Jets troll Heat over LeBron YouTube mistake

Published:

The Winnipeg Jets jumped in on the fun Wednesday after the Miami Heat mistakenly posted a link to a scheduled live stream titled “LeBron James Introductory Press Conference” Tuesday night.

“The Winnipeg Jets’s official YouTube channel has LeBron’s introductory press conference scheduled for July 27‚” the Jets posted on X. The accompanying photo showed a graphic of James photoshopped into a Jets jersey beside the words “LePress Conference” and “Don’t upload this yet.”

A Heat spokesperson told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday that the club’s social media department was preparing for the possibility of James’ signing and mistakenly posted the link to the team’s YouTube page. The post was later deleted.

James remains an unrestricted free agent for the first time since 2018 and the eyes of the NBA - and it appears beyond - are fixated on his decision.
