Calgary Flames defenceman Nicklas Grossman cleared waivers on Sunday, allowing the team to terminate his contract.
The 31-year-old appeared in three games this season, posting a minus-4 rating without a point.
Grossman is a veteran of 592 games with the Dallas Stars, Philadelphia Flyers, Arizona Coyotes and Flames. He did not report to AHL Stockton when assigned on November 9.
#Flames D Nicklas Grossmann didn't report to AHL Stockton. He is on waivers today to terminate contract. Probably best for both sides.
