Habs' F Dach to miss second-straight game with illness

Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach will miss his second straight game with a non-COVID illness, as the team has ruled him out for Saturday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Dach, 22, first missed Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. 

He has recorded 12 goals and 23 assists in 54 games this season, his first with the Habs. He was acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks at the last NHL Draft in exchange for a 1st round pick. in 206 career games, Dach has 31 goals and 63 assists. He was originally selected third overall by the Blackhawks in the 2019 NHL Draft.

The Canadiens (23-28-4) sit last in the Atlantic Division with 50 points in 55 games.
