Ottawa Senators forward Mathieu Joseph suffered a lower-body injury in the first period against the Dallas Stars on Friday and was ruled out for the remainder of the game, the team said.

Joseph, 26, has six goals and 12 assists in 24 games for the Senators this season.
The Senators entered Friday's contest sitting last in the Atlantic Division with a record of 11-13-0.
