NHL: Stars 2, Wild 3 (OT)

Matt Boldy scored on a deflection with 28.9 seconds left in the first overtime and the Wild rallied to beat the Stars in Game 4 on Saturday to tie the series. Marcus Foligno tied it for the Wild on a second-effort tip-in with 5:20 left in the third period, and Jesper Wallstedt made 43 saves. Series tied 2-2.

Logan Stankoven's fourth goal of the series proved to be the difference maker as the Hurricanes completed the sweep over the Senators to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, earning him Ultimate Performer Powered by Stihl honours.


NHL: Penguins 4, Flyers 2

Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell each had a goal and an assist, and the Penguins extended their season with a 4-2 win against the Flyers in Game 4. Kris Letang and Connor Dewar also scored for the Penguins, and Arturs Silovs made 25 saves after he got the call to start in place of Stuart Skinner. PHI leads series 3-1.


NHL: Hurricanes 4, Senators 2

The Carolina Hurricanes completed the sweep against the Ottawa Senators Saturday afternoon. After Taylor Hall opened the scoring in the second, Drake Batherson and the Sens responded with a powerplay marker to tie it up. In the third, Logan Stankoven stayed hot with his fourth goal of the post-season and Sebastian Aho buried a pair of empty netters to seal it. Frederik Andersen stood tall allowing two goals on 27 shots as the Hurricanes move on to play the winner of the Flyers and Penguins series in Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Green believes Sens are closer to being Stanley Cup contenders despite being swept

After dropping four straight games to a dominant Hurricanes squad, Senators head coach Travis Green says his group battled hard throughout the series and have taken steps from the year previous towards being a Stanley Cup contender. NHL: Lightning 2, Canadiens 3 (OT)

Lane Hutson scored the overtime winner as the Montreal Canadiens beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in overtime to regain the series lead. Alexandre Texier and Kirby Dach scored for the Canadiens, while Brandon Hagel and Brayden Point countered for the Lightning. MTL leads series 2-1.
