The Vancouver Goldeneyes announced on Tuesday that the team has signed defender and 2026 first-overall pick Caroline Harvey to a three-year contract through the 2028-29 season.
Harvey is coming off a season where she led the NCAA’s Wisconsin Badgers to a national championship and captured the Patty Kazmaier Award as the top player in women’s college hockey after scoring 18 goals with 64 points in 33 games.
The 23-year-old helped the United States win Olympic gold at Milano Cortina 2026 and won tournament MVP.
“KK is an incredibly accomplished defender whose achievements speak for themselves, and we are excited for her to bring her trademark speed and dynamic playing style to our roster,” said Goldeneyes general manager Alison Izzi in a statement. “We are looking forward to supporting her continued development as an elite player and can’t wait to see her start her PWHL career in Goldeneyes colours.”
In her career, Harvey has won three NCAA titles and five World Championship medals (two gold, three silver) while taking home Best Defender honours twice (2023 and 2025).
Vancouver opens the 2026-27 PWHL season on Saturday, Dec. 5 against the Seattle Torrent at Pacific Coliseum.
