Canadian midfielder Liam Millar will head out on a season-long loan to Birmingham City in the English Championship, multiple sources confirm to TSN.
Millar, 26, helped Hull City earn promotion to the English Premier League last season, and made two substitute appearances in Hull’s first two EPL games to start the season.
This past weekend, the Brampton, Ont., native came off the bench and scored the game winner in a 1-0 win over Coventry City.
Days earlier, Millar captained Hull in their League Cup win over Stoke City.
In all, Millar has made 53 league appearances for Hull. Millar suffered an ACL injury in October of 2024 but returned last September to help Hull’s push for promotion to the England’s top division.
Millar has played in England and Scotland over his seven professional seasons, but has played 79 times in the England’s second division, more than any other league.
He now joins Birmingham City, co-owned by NFL legend Tom Brady, which has EPL promotion ambitions this season.
Millar played in three games for Canada at the 2026 World Cup.
