OTTAWA — Ngozi Sonia Okobi-Okeoghene scored two goals in leading Ottawa Rapid FC to a 3-1 win over Calgary Wild FC on Sunday in Northern Super League action.
Okobi-Okeoghene opened the scoring in just the fourth minute, with Johanne Fridlund adding another 21 minutes later to double the lead.
Okobi-Okeoghene made it a brace in the 78th minute to seal the scoring.
Frédérique St-Jean had the lone goal for last-place Calgary (3-13-5) in the 77th minute.
The win pushed Ottawa (11-7-3) two points ahead of AFC Toronto for second place in the six-team league standings. Ottawa is just three points back of first-place Montreal.
Ottawa will next visit Toronto on Saturday, while Calgary plays host to Vancouver next Sunday.
