Argentina finishes with 10-men after Fernandez sent off late with second yellow card

Enzo Fernandez was sent off in stoppage time of the FIFA World Cup final after receiving his second yellow card of the game.

Argentina and Spain did not score in regulation as the game went to extra time.

Ferran Torres scored in the 106th minute as Spain defeated 10-man Argentina 1-0 to capture their second World Cup.

Fernandez, 25, made a hard and late tackle on Pau Cubarsí near the midfield during the 93rd minute, an infraction that forced him out of the remainder of the game.

Fernandez received his first yellow card in the 83rd minute for diving.
