NaLyssa Smith’s season is over.
The Las Vegas Aces announced Thursday that the non-contact leg injury picked up during Sunday’s victory over the Toronto Tempo will keep her out for the remainder of the campaign.
Smith, 26, is in her fifth WNBA season and second with the Aces. She averaged 11.7 points on .638 shooting and 6.4 boards in 24.3 minutes a night over 38 games. Smith had started every Aces game leading up to the injury.
A native of San Antonio, Smith was originally selected with the second-overall pick of the 2022 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever out of Baylor. After three seasons with the Fever, she was part of a four-team, 14-player trade ahead of the 2025 season that sent her to the Dallas Wings. Smith was acquired by the Aces for a 2027 first-round pick last June.
The Aces (26-13) sit third in the Western Conference and third overall. They return to action on Friday night with a visit from the Tempo.
