Guard Van Lith waived by Sky

The Chicago Sky waived Hailey Van Lith on Monday.

The 24-year-old guard was set to enter her second season with the team.

Van Lith appeared in both of the Sky’s preseason games, averaging 12.5 points and 4.5 assists.

A native of Wenatchee, WA, Van Lith was taken with the 11th overall pick of the 2025 WNBA Draft out of TCU. She appeared in 29 games in her rookie season, averaging 3.5 points on .339 shooting with 1.6 assists and 1.1 boards over 12.4 minutes a night.

Internationally, Van Lith has represented the United States on a number of occasions, including at the 2024 Paris Olympics where she won bronze as part of the 3x3 team.

The Sky open up their regular season on Saturday with a visit to the expansion Portland Fire.
