Toronto Tempo head coach Sandy Brondello confirmed Sunday that guard Brittany Sykes (foot) and forward Aneesah Morrow (knee) have both been ruled out for the remainder of the 2026 season.
Both players suffered injuries in the team’s 82-79 win over fellow expansion franchise Portland Fire in Vancouver on Friday.
Sykes averaged 18.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists and had recently returned after a two-month stint on the injured list while dealing with planter fascia. Brondello confirmed that the 32-year-old suffered a different foot injury Friday.
In seven games with the Tempo, the 6-foot-1, 23-year-old put up 9.3 points and 4.3 rebounds.
Toronto has eight games remaining in their inaugural season, with it wrapping up on Sept. 26 against the Connecticut Sun.
