AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page teams with Eddie Kingston and HOOK to take on The Opps. Plus, the Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Match series begins. You can catch AEW Dynamite LIVE on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on TSN2, the TSN App, and TSN.ca.
AEW World Trios Champions The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and “The Wrestler” Katsuyori Shibata) vs. AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page, Eddie Kingston and HOOK
An eventful edition of Dynamite last week saw Samoa Joe once again establish himself as the No. 1 contender to the AEW World Championship, but the celebrations were cut short when “Hangman” Adam Page got the better of him. Joe defeated Ricochet, Bobby Lashley and HOOK in a four-way match to earn another shot at Page at Nov. 22’s Full Gear. He won the match by putting HOOK in the Coquina Clutch. After the match, a victorious Joe signed the contract for his title match as “Tony Schiavone” dressed in a Phantom of the Opera mask presided over the signing. To conclude the proceedings, “Schiavone” offered a toast with some beers. But the man handing out beer was not Tony Schiavone. It was Page, who went on to drop Will Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata before drilling Joe with a bottle and then putting him down with a Buckshot Lariat. Page promised to ruin Joe’s life and he’s trying to make good on that. On Wednesday night, Page teams with HOOK and Eddie Kingston to take on The Opps in trios action. Not only will the match be a big one for Page and Joe, it’s important to HOOK, too. A former member of The Opps, HOOK wanted to use last Wednesday night’s match to show Joe that he didn’t need him, either, but he ended up falling prey to the wily veteran. With Kingston in tow, HOOK will try to turn the page on Wednesday night and get a measure of revenge. Can Joe and his crew fight back after last week’s embarrassment or will Page once again get the upper hand in their feud?

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament quarter-final match: TBS Champion “Ultimo Moné” Mercedes Moné and ROH Women’s World Champion “The Fallen Goddess” Athena vs. Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron)
The team of Mercedes Moné and Athena might seem like an odd one to enter the tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions considering the two women have done battle in the past and clearly don’t have any fondness for one another. But Athena’s rationale in approaching Moné to team made a lot of sense to the woman who currently holds 12 championships - she’s Moné's best shot at a 13th. The formidable duo will make their tournament bow on Wednesday night when they take on the team of Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, two women they know very well. The winners of the match on Dynamite will move on to meet the Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue) in the semis after they defeated Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata last week. While Nightingale and Cameron will certainly have the edge when it comes to chemistry, their experience advantage isn’t actually all that much greater than their opponents’. Nightingale and Cameron have previously teamed only on three occasions, while Moné and Athena teamed in the summer in a victory over “Timeless” Toni Storm and Alex Windsor. If Moné and Athena can stay on the same page, they could be a formidable team. The problem, of course, is that there’s no guarantee that they can. Can this duo of champions move on in their quest for more gold or will Nightingale and Cameron take advantage of potential disfunction to advance themselves?

Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Match 1: Claudio Castagnoli (w/ Wheeler YUTA) vs. “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy (w/ Mark Briscoe)
Next week’s Blood & Guts match is set with the Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, “The Bastard” PAC, Daniel Garcia and Wheeler YUTA) taking on Darby Allin, Roderick Strong and The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe and Kyle O’Reilly), but there is one more formality to address before these 10 men beat the hell out of each other. Because of the nature of the match, until the final entrant goes into the cage, one team will have a man-advantage over the other. The match begins with two men in the ring before another enters at an interval meaning that one team will have an extra competitor on four different occasions. In order to determine which team receives the advantage, AEW president Tony Khan has announced a best-of-three Advantage Battle Match series that will begin on Wednesday night with Claudio Castagnoli taking on Orange Cassidy. The team to pick up two victories first will claim the advantage. Castagnoli and Cassidy know each other quite well with their first match taking place nearly 20 years ago in CHIKARA. But to date, Wednesday night’s contest will be only their second ever singles match and first in over two years. On the Nov. 1, 2023 edition of Dynamite, Cassidy retained his AEW International Championship over Castagnoli by hooking his legs after a hurracanrana for the three count. The cold and calculated “Swiss Cyborg” has a long memory and undoubtedly will have this loss fresh in his mind. All told, Cassidy has a 7-5-1 edge in his career over Castagnoli. Which of these two men will draw first blood for their respective teams on Wednesday night?
Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Match 1: Queen Aminata vs. “Megasus” Megan Bayne
Like with the men’s side, the first-ever women’s Blood & Guts match is all set for Nov. 11. The difference here, though, is the match will be six-on-six rather than five-versus-five. Stepping into the cage will be the team of TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir and the Triangle of Madness (Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue) as they take on AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander, “Timeless” Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, Queen Aminata, Jamie Hayter and Harley Cameron. To determine who gets the advantage on the women’s side, there will aslo be an Advantage Battle Match series with the first going down on Dynamite as Aminata takes on Bayne. While these women have faced off before on a number of occasions, Wednesday night’s match marks their first-ever singles encounter. Aminata knows the daunting test that Bayne represents. Since returning to AEW at the beginning of 2025, Bayne has only tasted defeat in singles competition on one occasion: losing an AEW Women’s World Championship match to Storm at Dynasty last April. She has proven to be almost indestructible otherwise. But Aminata is no slouch herself and consistently battles every time she’s in the ring. There’s no title on the line on Wednesday night, yet the match is an important one and could go a long way in determining which sextet emerges victorious at Blood & Guts. Can Bayne continue her run of singles dominance or will Aminata pick up an important win for her team?

Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Match 1: Darby Allin vs. Daniel Garcia (w/ Jon Moxley)
While Darby Allin’s seemingly eternal blood feud with the Death Riders begins and ends with Jon Moxley, he’s reserved a specific anger towards Daniel Garcia. The newest member of the group, Garcia aligned himself with the Death Riders back in September after a series of frustrating defeats and Moxley getting into his ear led to him making a change. Garcia actually announced his allegiance to the group by jumping Allin on the Sept. 10 edition of Dynamite. What hurts the most for Allin isn’t the physical beating or the betrayal - it’s the disappointment in Garcia. In Garcia, Allin thought he saw a likeminded individual, the kind of competitor who fought with honour and putting the health of AEW ahead of anything personal. He was wrong. Now under Moxley’s sway, Garcia takes on Allin in singles competition for the first time in over four years. In their two prior one-on-one encounters, Allin won both matches. But a four-year gap in pro wrestling is an eternity. Both Allin and Garcia are much different and more seasoned competitors. Though still only 27, Garcia’s years in AEW have given him a wealth of experience and he’s a considerably better wrestler than the one Allin defeated back in 2021. And there is the sadistic edge that comes with being a Death Rider that Allin must also contend with in Garcia now, as well. Wednesday night’s match will be a pivotal one with it coming after the first Advantage Battle Match. A win for either man will either wrap up the Blood & Guts advantage for his team or force a third match. A match between Mox and Roderick Strong is scheduled for Saturday night on Collision, if necessary. What will go down in this important bout on Wednesday night?
