TORONTO — Viktor Neuchev scored the winner 3:18 into overtime as the Chicago Wolves stopped the Toronto Marlies from completing a sweep in the Calder Cup finals with a 4-3 victory on Thursday.
Neuchev fired the puck in off a rebound to silence the crowd at Coca-Cola Coliseum in Game 4 of the American Hockey League championship series.
The Marlies remain ahead 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series with Game 5 set to be in Toronto on Friday.
Domenick Fensore and Justin Robidas scored in the third period to pull the Wolves into a 3-3 tie after entering the frame down two goals. Bradly Nadeau opened the scoring 28 seconds into the first period for Chicago.
Jacob Quillan and Luke Haymes in the first period, and Ryan Tverberg in the second, put Toronto ahead 3-1.
Cayden Primeau made 33 saves for the Wolves, while Artur Akhtyamov stopped 22 shots for the Marlies.
