It’s every beer leaguer’s dream to live the NHL experience. The spotlight, the fans... it sure beats 11pm puck drops and empty seats.
So, we decided to change that.
In a game loaded with fans, giveaways and plenty of activations, we transformed the standard beer league game into a full NHL experience.
How many fans, you may ask?
Over a thousand fans packed the stands at York Canlan for the BarDown hockey team’s beer league game, and they were met with perhaps the most glamorous beer league atmosphere ever. We brought a BarDown mascot, a PA announcer, a play-by-play commentator and sideline reporter... and even our own trumpet player for a proper pre-game national anthem.
This was definitely not your average beer league game.
Special shout out to all of the fans that showed up to support the BarDown guys on a random Wednesday night. The NHL dream might be in our rearview, but for one night, we got to live it out.
