Courtland Sutton Over 38.5 Receiving Yards
The Broncos offence has looked extremely shaky through four games and Courtland Sutton’s production has suffered mightily as a result. However, with Pat Bryant now on IR and Sean Payton set to take over play-calling duties, Sutton could see a significant bump in usage against the Chargers this week. Don’t forget – he’s coming off back-to-back seasons with solid numbers as Bo Nix’s number one receiver.
The Chargers defence has already left a lot to be desired when fully healthy. They’re allowing the fifth highest yards per target (9.72) to wide receivers this season. This week they’ll be without safety Derwin James and cornerback Donte Jackson – opening the door for Sutton to have a bounce back performance.
While Sutton has felt like an afterthought in the Denver’s offence, he’s still second on the team in routes run and third in target share. Sean Payton will be determined to get the offence back on track. I’ll lock in Sutton over 38.5 receiving yards as my Week 5 best bet.
