What’s next for Mike Tomlin?

That’s the question now that the 53-year-old has stepped down as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Tomlin leaves Pittsburgh with a 193-114-2 regular-season record, going 8-12 in 20 playoff games.

If he’s interested in coaching next season, Tomlin hits the open market at a good time.

Currently, 28 per cent of teams in the league don’t have a head coach, and when you eliminate the Steelers, Tomlin has eight teams with openings that he could consider.

FanDuel currently has five markets posted for NFL teams’ next head coaches, and the Atlanta Falcons is the only market in which Tomlin’s name appears, and it’s at pretty long odds.

Tomlin is a 19-1 longshot to be the next head coach of the Atlanta Falcons on FanDuel, a number that comes with an implied probability of five per cent.

Kevin Stefanski is the favourite to be Atlanta’s next head coach, while John Harbaugh isn’t far behind.

Here is a look at the full market on FanDuel.
