The BC Lions are signing All-Star defensive tackle Casey Sayles, according to Farhan Lalji.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats released the 30-year-old American last week.

“Casey consistently demonstrated the preparation, competitiveness, and on-field execution we expect from our players,” said Tiger-Cats head coach Scott Milanovich in a release. “He approached every practice and game with purpose. We appreciate Casey’s contributions on the field and wish him and his family all the best moving forward.”

Sayles spent the last three years with the Ticats, recording four sacks and 35 tackles over 17 games in 2025, earning a CFL East All-Star honour in the process.

A product of the Ohio Bobcats, Sayles was named a CFL All-Star during his first year in Hamilton in 2023.

Sayles spent the first two seasons of his CFL career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, helping them win the Grey Cup in his rookie campaign of 2021.
