Toronto Argonauts co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Kevin Eiben, quarterback coach Mike Miller, and receivers coach Pete Costanza all interviewed for the team’s vacant head coaching position this past week, TSN’s Dave Naylor reports.

Eiben has been the team’s defensive coordinator the past two seasons, initially joining the coaching staff in 2017 as the special teams coordinator.
The 46-year-old became the linebackers coach in 2019, a position he has held since.
Miller, 55, has been the Argos’ quarterback coach since 2022, helping them win Grey Cups in 2022 and 2024.
The Pittsburgh native has a long coaching career with stops in the NCAA, NFL Europe, XFL and NFL, highlighted by a season as the Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator in 2012.
Costanza, 55, has been with the Argonauts since 2022.
He’s won a total of six Grey Cups, including three with the Calgary Stampeders (2008, 2014 and 2018), one with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2021) and two with the Argonauts (2022 and 2024).
The Argonauts are in need of a head coach after Ryan Dinwiddie left the franchise to join the Ottawa Redblacks as their head coach and general manager.
Toronto finished with a 5-13 record in 2025, the first time they missed the playoffs in Dinwiddie’s five years with the team.
Elsewhere, Edmonton Elks special teams coach Demetrious Maxie and running backs coach Trysten Dyce will not return to the team next year, TSN’s Farhan Lalji reports.

The 52-year-old Maxie, who also served as a defensive assistant in Edmonton, spent the 2025 season with the Elks after helping the Argonauts win the Grey Cup last year as a defensive line coach.
Maxie was also on Edmonton’s coaching staff from 2016 to 2023.
Dyce spent one season in Edmonton after four years with the BC Lions where he was also a running backs coach.
Edmonton finished 7-11 this season and haven’t qualified for the playoffs since 2019.
